Professor Mark Hillery is a pioneer of quantum optics and quantum information, having invented (along with Vladimir Buzek) approximate quantum cloning, and is currently working on quantum state discrimination, as well asbeing the quantum information editor at Physical Review A. The keynote address will be on the topic of Quantum Machines.
